The Signing Time Foundation is happy to announce that they are returning to Ghana in January, 2012.  Once they return, we’ll post blogs and pictures right here.  Check out Rachel and Leah’s video, read the Signing Time and Signing Time Academy blogs about who the team is, and  Ronai, Ellie, Carissa and Pablo are packing up and heading out.  Then, take a look at Rachel’s handmade quilts and the other ways you can help out.

Interested in helping Rachel and the team head back to help support the Deaf community in west Africa? Well, we’ve got some good news!  Two Limited Edition Signing Time Foundation Ghana Pins* (made of pewter) are now available.  Pins are about 1 and 3/4 inches long. All proceeds help fund the trip to Ghana in January!  Each pin is $10, including shipping.

Operation Ghana Blog

I am happy to report that The Signing Time Team all returned safely home from Africa. The experience is one that I will likely never get over. It changed me. The deaf children we met and spent time with are beautiful. They were thrilled to receive hugs, hold our hands or just be close to us. When you look at their physical possessions, they are few. If you could measure their love you would find it all encompassing. I invite you to visit my Ghana Journal 2008 where I am in the process of publishing my written account of each day. You can read about and see photos of what we experienced while in Ghana and better understand the personal changes that surfaced when we arrived home. Again, special thanks to all for being a part of this incredible journey!
